Faber have republished three of John's books in their print-on-demand series, Faber Finds. It's great that these are available once more.
First up is "The Book Of Boswell : Autobiography Of A Gypsy" (first published in 1970), edited by John this book was a labour of love. He was always fascinated by the Romany way of life and had many traveller friends. This is Gordon Sylvester Boswell's story...
Two of John's early sailing books are included "Sailing Through England" (1956), an account of John and Sally's meanderings on their dutch barge 'Jenny the Third', and "Voyage into England" (1966) which recounts a four month journey through the canal systems of England and Wales with Sally, their three young daughters and their dog.
These two books are full of John's characteristic outspoken views on life accompanied by Sally's illustrations.
